Summer Interpretive Program

Awenda Provincial Park runs Educational Programs throughout the summer season. Whether you are looking for a Children’s Program to keep your younger campers engaged, a Guided Hike to get the whole family moving or an Evening Program to entertain campers of all ages at our Amphitheatre, Awenda has an educational program to suit everyone.

Please note that to attend programs, you will need to have a permit on your vehicle. If you are camping, this permit is the one given to you when you register at the Campground Office. If you are coming from one of our surrounding communities, however, you can purchase a day pass at the Campground Office. The cost of a day pass is $14.50/vehicle and this covers the cost of everyone in the vehicle.

Children’s Programs: A 45-60 minute program geared for children between the ages of 5-12.

Guided Hikes: A 60-90 minute program looking at different aspects of Awenda by foot. It is recommended that you bring water, sunscreen and bug spray to these programs. Please be aware that dogs are not allowed on Guided Hikes.

Evening Program: A 45-60 minute presentation which is geared for people of all ages.
